The GREATEST day of my life... TWICE!!!

July 26, 2011. 1224 pm. 7 lbs. 3 oz. 18  1/2 in. My pirate has arrived!! Rated 9.9 out of 10!! (his face was a lil blue) & with good reason!! That baby got his momma's lungs and was yellin!!!

What a sweet lil angel!! It's amazing how complete it feels to have my whole family grow by "2 feet".. I feel like a big hole in my heart is just filled perfectly yet I never even knew that hole existed! & oh boy is his big sister excited!! She was just eating him up from the moment she came in the room!!

No More lil Womb Mate for Me!!

Well.. First let me just say Happy 2nd Birthday to Madileigh.. My angel. My hero. The glue that holds my everything together! I love her to the moon and back with all that is in me!!

Hmmm....
"I can feel it coming in the air tonight, Oh Lord.
And I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, Oh Lord.
Can you feel it coming in the air tonight, Oh Lord, Oh Lord."

Yep. Amazingly that was on my mind as I was headed to the hospital. I told Johnny when we took Madileigh to Build-A-Bear I had a feeling we needed to do it the day before her birthday and with good reason. I am going into labor. I am at the hospital alone right now and waiting for Johnny to get up here!
-Family notification... Check!
-Bags packed... Oops! (Only 37 weeks here)
-Plans for someone to watch Madi... Nope! (Good thing we are only stationed 3 hours from family!)
-Got my head on strait.. Check!!
***Bring on my lil pirate!!

Eglin AFB. Triage 6... Well.. I am alone and my mind is going a million miles an hour. They just admitted me so its official. My lil man will be here soon!! Wow. And now the reality hits. Ya see there is something very special about him being ready to come 3 weeks early... Its his sister's 2nd birthday!! My kids will be exactly 2 years apart!! Wow. I don't think we could have planned it any better!! What a great birthday present she is getting!! God really wanted me to be blessed on July 26th!

Oh my big brave girl!! I know she will be soooo excited! I just wish she was here with me! But then again I am taking this moment to talk to my lil man!! I feel its extremely important I spend part of these next few hours in the quiet darkness. Just me and him. We will never be this close again. Very soon he will be a tiny person all his own... No longer the kicking and demanding bulge in my belly that I have grown to love so much! He is soon gonna be my little pirate, Madi's playmate and daddy's lil allstar! He has already changed our world!

I am so blessed that God has given me another wonderful gift. I prey that God will safely guide both my babies in all their many journeys and I ask Him now for the strength to help them in any way I can!!

Again... Closer together now... He signals his impatience to be free...

Time to prepare Daddy...

Our Lil Birthday Tradition! =)

There are two things I hope to give my children... Roots and Wings!! I try my best to provide that stable relationship and environment I want my babies to think about and remember coming home too! One of the best ways I can think of to do that is to start lil traditions while they are young! One thing we started when I was pregnant with Madileigh is to go to Build-A-Bear workshop! Johnny and I made her a bear before she was born and then on her first birthday she made her first bear! It was a pretty lil pink ballerina princess bear, named "Sheesh Sheesh"(hence her princess party last year)! Well it's that time again. Another year gone by! Her second birthday is tomorrow but something kept telling me to go ahead and take her today!! So we did! Maybe deep down I just wanted her to wake up on her birthday with a new lil buddy.

She had such a good time!! I love how involved she gets with stuff like this, including crafts and coloring and painting!! I hope she will always have a creative and artistic bone and always expresses herself in those ways!! This year she made a bunny!! She named him "lil bunny foo-hoo" I have no idea where she comes up with this stuff! But at least I know now that she listens to the bedtime stories and songs before she goes to sleep!! That makes my heart smile for sure!

I just cant believe that my lil princess that fit in the palm of our hands just 2 short years ago is growing so fast! She is learning at the speed of light and I almost feel like I cant keep up!! So many memories have been made and she will always be my lil baby girl! As much as I wish I could turn back time, I honestly don't think I would! I have cherished every moment and paid such close attention to not missing anything that it has truly been the time of my life raising her!! And now just singing with her in the car and coming home and her grabbing me by the hand yelling "Come on Mamma" as we head off to her room to have our dress-up dance sessions is completely priceless. I wouldn't trade those moments for anything and I cant wait until we have Easton to enjoy too!! It will be completely different having a boy in the house but I just see it as getting the best of both worlds!! I am truly blessed and now Im gonna go on to the bath... I have a very strong feeling Mr. Easton wont be keeping us waiting too much longer!!

Here's To New Beginnings... (& to spell check)

I have always thought myself to be a memory keeper. Creative even. I save just about everything. True story. But I wasn't always this way. December 3, 2008. I suppose thats when it all started. Thats the day I started my first ever journal and I wrote in it religiously for about 2 years. Almost daily. Thats the day we found out we were pregnant with our first child. Later to find out, a girl. I have my entire pregnancy, Madileigh's first year of life, all the firsts, the good, the ugly, the giggles, the stories, the life-changing poopies.. All of it in that lil book!! (2 books actually) But I love it!! I used to read back on it a lot more and laugh and cry and smile all at the same time!! Its amazing how when you paint yourself such vivid memories that are so exact the time seems to have passed by even more quickly. My goal is that one day, God forbid anything happen to me, my children will know exactly the way they made me feel. I want them to be able to read and go strait back to the memory like we were living in it!!!

I was very good about writing every little thing down.. with dates and all. However I do regret that I stopped writing in it for a while. My family went through a very traumatic period. It was a point that I felt was too important not to put in her journal, but I could never bring myself to write the words on paper. So she has about 8 months of her life not on paper.. Im sure she will forgive me because I at least resorted to making videos ALL THE TIME!!

So why blog now?? I am pregnant with our second child. A boy. Mommy's little pirate to go with my little mermaid and I am so excited!! I did not keep a journal through this pregnancy like I did last time but this one was not near as eventful! It was almost easy. Fun even. Weird. But I enjoyed it, I enjoyed having Madileigh to share it with! And now I want to start writing again so that we will have the vivid memories to continue! I am 37 weeks pregnant today!! And oh boy it is hot!!!! But I am starting this blog today because today was HUGE!!

Today, we celebrated the lil princess' 2nd Birthday Party!!! A whole 2 years big. Her birthday is actually Monday, July 26th. Its so surreal how much she and I have learned and how we have grown in these short years. She is my rock. My hero. Every blessing I have ever asked for!! Oh and she is rotten. And prissy. With the sassiest attitude a 2 year old could have!! She is truly a hoot to be around and I am so proud of her!! Her first real obsession is Minnie Mouse! Everything has to be Minnie!! And she wont sleep in anything but Minnie Mouse if she can help it (& Mommy has it clean) of course!! So with that being said, we had a Minnie Mouse birthday party at the splash pad!! She had a blast and I am so thankful for the people in our life that were there to share it with us! We are truly blessed with great family and friends!
