This is one of my new favorites that we have done!! We had an absolute blast doing it! It was the first time I didn’t do crafts with them one at a time so to speak and Madileigh loved it! She played teacher and helped me so much with Easton! I would hold him and she painted his foot and then she would tell him “Ok Eeson, time to wash it owff!”
Easton even seemed to enjoy himself! He definitely didn’t do good with trying to get his handprints but just doing his feet and thumbs and letting him fist paint was enough for him! Madileigh was such a ham with her coaching Easton on how to paint!
“Eeson you make bee wiff your foot.”
“Good job Eeson!”
“Eeson, you gonna show to DAD!!!!”
“Mom, you make mess.”
“Mom, I can’t use my tumb.”
“Why not baby?”
“Betause EEson bee ated it up.”
Wow. Really???
“Mom, dat tink butterfwy is fwying!!!!”
“Mom. Eeson got paint on floor. Not Madi.” RRRIIIGGGGHHHTT!!!!
I would say today was a very fun filled day off! We have played and played and played!! One of my favorites is when we play chase… around the island in the kitchen… the majority of the time it is me and Madi against Daddy! All we do is run… and run… and run and wait for Daddy to pop out of random places to scare us so we can scream and run faster and hide somewhere! Well tonight it got pretty intense!
One of the times Johnny jumped out it really did scare us so bad that we kept running into each other all the way down the hall because neither of us could catch our footing until we both just laid down laughing hysterically. Then another time we narrowly escaped into the bathroom and Madi slammed the door! When she did she put her back to it and was breathing heavy and looked at me serious as a heart attack and said “Mom. That was too close.” HA HA Wow.
My children are an amazing blessing and I pray that these memories and good times will last always always.
